Hi, I am Nathali !
I am the heart behind Garden of Grace Birth Services. I am a doula and student midwife, but before anything, I am a partner, mother, and someone who deeply values family, connection, and compassion. I come from a family of six children and also the oldest of my siblings, a role that naturally shaped me into a caregiver, a helper, and someone who has always stepped in with responsibility and love. I grew up in Fennville, Michigan, and later attended Lake Michigan College, where I earned my associate degree before continuing my path toward birth work.
Becoming a mother to my two beautiful children, Santiago and Angelina, born just ten months apart has changed me forever. Both births were difficult in their own ways, and navigating labor, postpartum, and hospital experiences gave me firsthand understanding of how powerful, yet vulnerable, birth can feel. I also carry my own history of miscarriage, which has deepened my empathy and strengthened my ability to hold tender space for others navigating pregnancy and loss. These experiences are a large part of why I do what I do today. I wanted to become the type of support I once needed, someone who listens without judgment, advocates when a voice feels small, and helps create a birth environment that feels safe, sacred, and remembered with pride rather than uncertainty.
Before entering the birth world, I worked as a phlebotomist at Holland Hospital, where I gained comfort in clinical settings and learned how to approach patients with gentleness, patience, and humanity. Most of my childhood memories were growing up in our family business, which gave me years of customer service experience, strengthening my ability to connect with people and meet them with warmth, understanding, and care.
If I were to describe myself, I would say I am friendly, kind, talkative, understanding, and open-minded. I connect easily in conversation, and once I feel comfortable, my personality comes through warmly and fully. People often tell me they appreciate my dedication, flexibility, and the effort I put into showing that I truly care. I am also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to support families across language barriers, something I am deeply proud of.
Outside of birth work, life for me is simple and sweet, time with my babies, running, reading, crocheting, baking, and trying new recipes for my family. I share this life with my partner, Adrian, whose love and support mean everything to me. I am endlessly grateful for my family, for their encouragement, presence, and belief in me as I continue to grow into this calling.
As a doula, I am honored to serve hospital, home, and birth center births. I am currently continuing my education toward midwifery because I believe birth is sacred, and women deserve to feel empowered and supported in their choices. I truly feel that God placed this calling on my heart, and I intend to honor it with compassion, humility, and a willingness to learn every step of the way.
This is who I am —
a mother, a partner, a sister, a believer, a birth worker, and a woman who values people deeply.
And if you welcome me into your birth story, I will meet you with the same warmth, respect, and presence that I bring to my own family.
